1.5 – Redstone Update is now officially published!
Mojang has now released the long awaited Redstone update (version number 1.5) to the general public via Minecraft’s launcher. If you’ve been anticipating it but haven’t paid attention to the snapshots and prereleases, now is your time. The update includes significant changes to redstone as well as a new ore, changes to mob balance, more graphic options including animated textures and the list goes on…
Redstone Update Pre-release is out!
The long awaited and 1.5 Redstone update is finally sort-of here. The first (and likely only) pre-release has now been released on the Mojang blog and is available for download and usage. This pre-release includes every feature in the snapshots since the last official update, 1.4.7, so there’s a lot of stuff. A daylight sensor, new redstone blocks and features, a new Nether ore and more. Read on for details.
Another update for Sonic Ether’s Shaders (RC7) brings atmospheric fog and an HDR effect
The famous Sonic Ether is at it again with a new update to his shader baby – Sonic Ether’s Unbelievable Shaders. This new update brings a few interesting additions. Fog has been added to remove that ugly border fix, an HDR effect has been implemented that deals with variable light exposure, or in other words, give the “eyes adjusting to light after exiting cave” effect. Aether II Alpha coming out March 25th or sooner!
Big news announced from The Aether team: the update of the original Aether mod that they have been working on for the past few months has now become an alpha version of Aether II. We’ve seen a lot of cool new content put into it, so it makes sense that it became a full sequel instead of just an update. This alpha version of The Aether II mod will come out on the 25th of March (a month from now) or sooner if they manage to get it done by then.
